Creating self-sustaining centers that provide care and education for individuals with disabilities in developing nations.

Our Mission

The Konga Project was started to fill a clear gap in developing nations that often do not have the resources to support individuals with special needs. We build centers in these countries that can provide support to individuals with disabilities. Konga Project Centers are meant to be primary points of contact for families with children that have disabilities or for individuals that have disabilities who are, in absence of other resources, left entirely on their own. Importantly, we partner with local stakeholders to ensure that each center is incorporated into the local community. What makes us different from other non-profit initiatives is that each center isset up with dual-purpose onsite medical facilities. These medical facilities dually provide treatment and care for individuals at the center and outpatient medical services for the local community. With this model, each center has a revenue stream to support their operations moving forward.

The First Center

The first center supported by the Konga Project is the Ongata-Rongai Special Care Home in Ongata-Rongai, Kenya. The center is home to 25 incredible kids and run by a dedicated, hardworking and caring team.

 Events

The Konga Project’s primary means of raising money to build new centers is through hosting fundraising events.
